North Harbour Rides in conjunction with all of Ulysses Clubs NZ and other charity rides

Rider in Charge (RIC) would appreciate all participants of rides to be at the departure point 10 minutes early with a full tank of gas and an empty bladder.  If the weather looks suspect then please phone the RIC or check out North Harbour Ulysses Facebook page to see if the ride is postponed or cancelled. 

All riders participating in a Ulysses Ride are expected to hold a current motorcycle license, wear suitable clothing and to have a registered and warranted road-worthy bike.

The organisers and/or the Ulysses Club are not responsible for participants safety and all participants participate at their own risk.

All participants are aware that they are traveling on open public roads and are responsible for their own safety and compliance with all Rules and Laws.

While the rides below are predominately on a Sunday, they can be either on a Saturday or Sunday to suit the RIC.  So, let me know if you would prefer to take a ride on a Saturday.

Please be aware that rides may be cancelled/postponed due to inclement weather, also rides can change in this list. If you are unsure if the ride is taking place please check on Facebook or phone the RIC, before leaving home. NOTE things change. Please contact the RIC for details on the day.


Each RIC will carry a Mobile Phone for emergencies. In an emergency use the number listed next to the relevant RIC.

Please be aware that this list can change at short notice due to inclement weather and RIC availability, best to keep an eye on the events list below and please check out ride status on Facebook on the morning of the ride before you leave home.

Pot luck or BBQ food, we have a outside deep fryer as well. BYO drinks etc. We provide loo paper, salt and pepper, T sauce and the venue. GRAVEL Driveway - please drive steadily.   • Ulysses North Island Remembrance Run & Weekend. Saturday 10th August 2024, 2:00 pm at Great Lake Centre, Taupō (Tongariro North Domain, Story Place, Taupō) Ulysses Auckland Branch, in association with Ulysses Taupō Branch, invite all Ulyssians to come together at our annual Remembrance Service and remember members who have passed away. If you intend on staying in Taupō, please make your own accommodation arrangements. Evening meals are available at the Taupō Cosmopolitan Club. An organized social event is intended for the Saturday evening. Once planning is finalized, details will be available on the Auckland Ulysses website. Badges and Patches will be sold on the day, both at the morning organized Taupō ride and at the venue. Hot drinks and biscuits will be available in the main foyer on your arrival in the afternoon. A donation will be appreciated. The Remembrance Service starts at 2pm, please be early so you can be seated in the hall before that time. A group ride may be planned on Friday 9 August from Auckland to Taupō. Visit Auckland website www.ulyssesauckland.org.nz for updates on this. A formal ride of respect through Taupō will be held on the day of the service. All ride details will be available in the Newsletter and website closer to the event.   • How does it work? Start and Finish at Hellensville. A cooked breakfast and coffee cart will be available before the start, from 8.30am (cost not included in ticket).You will be given your last card here, and a card at each of the four other stations you visit along the way. At the end of the run, whoever has the best poker hand wins the major prize! Registrations start at 8.30am, with the run getting under way at 10am. Tickets are just $30.00 per person pre-purchased online, or $35.00 purchased on the day, which includes your meal - and remember, all proceeds will go to the local Fire Station. Commemorative T-shirts will be available for purchase on the day, too. Don't forget to tell your mates.
